The biggest ever Euromillions Lottery jackpot was won in July, 2011 and created a new record at €185 million won by a single ticket held by Christine and Colin Weir from Largs in Scotland who took home just over £161 million. This beat the previous UK record that was set in October 2010 at £113 million won by a single ticket holder.
Millionaire Raffle
Although the Euromillions Lottery is a pan-European lottery, the UK stands separate in that there is an extra draw held alongside the main Euromillions Lottery draw. The Millionaire Raffle is included in the main Euromillions Lottery draw and promises to create a brand new UK millionaire every single week. Only available to UK residents the prize involves matching the raffle number printed on every UK Euromillions Lottery ticket to the raffle number drawn on the evening of the draw.
Euromillions Lottery draws are held twice weekly in Paris, every Tuesday and Friday evening at 10pm. Odds of winning the jackpot on the Euromillions Lottery stand at around one in 116 million, overall odds of winning a prize are a little more modest at one in 13.
