Jackpots and rollovers
The base jackpot on the Powerball Lottery is set at $40 million, however if players fail to match the five plus one number combination the jackpot will rollover to the next draw. In this lottery the jackpot frequently increases in value as rollovers are common which mean that big jackpots are often seen.
In addition to the jackpot, Powerball players have the chance to win one of eight smaller prizes. These are all fixed amounts, and range from players winning $1 million by matching all five numbers drawn, to winning the smallest prize which is $4 by matching just the Powerball.

Powerball Power Play
